Adult Achievement Awards Co-ordinator – Full time – 35 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the college on a one year fixed term contract. We are looking for an Adult Achievement Awards Co-ordinator to take our successful Adult Achievement Awards (AAA) programme to the next stage of its development. The AAAs have been developed by the college to enable adults to gain national accreditation for their learning in a wide range of contexts. The awards are available at SCQF Levels 3, 4 and 6, and have been piloted successfully across Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, promotion and delivery of the awards programme, including income generation activities.
We are looking for a candidate who is educated to degree level, and has experience of working with adult learners in the community or in FE/HE. An ability to build partnerships with individuals and organisations is essential, along with a good knowledge of marketing and PR and some experience of organising major events. Other key priorities of the post include developing a quality framework for the awards and delivering training programmes for partner agencies. Reporting to the Depute Principal, you will work on your own initiative and prioritise you own workload to take the AAA programme forward.
In return, we offer a good salary, generous holidays and an excellent pension scheme where the college contributes 18.9%
We are at an exciting stage of our development, and this is a great opportunity to join the college and make a worthwhile contribution to this interesting and innovative programme. The awards have already had a positive impact on many people’s lives. You will play a significant role in extending that impact across Scotland and beyond.
If you need to discuss any aspect of the role, please contact Jackie Kane in the first instance or telephone 0131 663 1921.
