In keeping with the best traditions of Scottish liberal education, the College also teaches Philosophy, at present offering two options:

Moral Philosophy
The philosophy of how to live a ‘good’ life, examining major moral theories from Aristotle to the modern philosophers Peter Singer and Derek Parfit;

The philosophy of what we know and how we know it, which ranges from Descartes’ idea of the ‘evil genius’ to a discussion of the film The Matrix.
