This course is for adults with few or no qualifications. It has been designed to be a transformative learning experience with high quality support and extensive preparation for Further Education.

What you will learn
Psychology: The Individual in the Social Context You will learn about topics from the psychology of individual differences (personality) and social psychology (body language).
Creative Writing Here, you will learn how to write for a variety of purposes, e.g. to express feeling.
Political Issues in the UK For example, decision-making in Scotland or the UK
Historical Study Scottish and British History
Communication How to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms, and how to summarise and evaluate a piece of writing.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) You will learn how to process and access information using ICT.


Future prospects

Successful completion of the Preparation for FE course will allow progression to the Access to Higher Education: Arts and Humanities course (SWAP).
