Anyone interested in bees or beekeeping can learn about this fascination little insect during these evening classes which run twice a year, September – October/April – May.

As a novice bee keeper, you will study the bee and its habitat, learn about hives and beekeeping and watch as we harvest honey and bed the bees down for the winter, waking and feeding them during the course in the spring.

The autumn and spring courses are each stand alone, you may wish to attend both or either. Each course includes both theory and practice and visits to our college apiary to watch practical bee handling using a colony and hive located in the College grounds.
