Accommodation and rates

Steeped in Scottish history, the building is a stunning 16th century house which occupies the site of a 12th century Cistercian abbey. Our campus accommodation has 2 star VisitScotland accreditation and consists of 30 single and 7 twin en suite bedrooms. Each one of the rooms provides comfortable accommodation with tea and coffee making facilities.

Room only and bed and breakfast options are available. Rates start from:

Room Only – £25

Bed & Breakfast – £27

Full Board – £55 (inclusive of items in daily delegate rate + bed, breakfast and evening meal)

Bed and breakfast available Monday to Friday and ‘room only’ is the only option available at weekends. However, we can recommend a number of local restaurants where breakfast is served at a reasonable cost. Please note that there is also limited housekeeping available at weekends and visitors have responsibility for making their own beds.

Booking in and payment facilities

During the week, booking-in time is between 2.30 pm and 12.00 am. Please notify us in advance if you will be arriving after 5pm. Weekend visitors can check in between 5.00 pm and 12.00am.(separate arrangements can be made for groups of more than 12 people).

Please note that payment is by cash or cheque only and your account must be settled when you check in.

The surrounding areas of Midlothian and the Borders offer many attractions to visitors including Rosslyn Chapel, Newbattle Abbey College, the Scottish Mining Museum, Dobbie’s, Butterfly World and the Border Abbeys.
