Join us on a guided tour of one of Scotland’s hidden, historical treasures.
- Hear the enchanting story of Newbattle Abbey College from the 12th century to present day
- Explore this ancient house and discover the link with Mary Queen of Scots, Knights Templar and the Declaration of Arbroath
- Marvel at the unique interior
- Learn about its fascinating history – and people buried under its ancient Crypt

Open for public tours every Sunday between 20 June & 15 August 2010 – tours at 1.30 pm & 3.30 pm.

Private groups
We accept private pre-booked groups throughout the year outwith our normal open times. The minimum group number is 10. Please contact Rae McGhee on 0131 663 1921; raem@newbattleabbeycollege.ac.uk for more details as buffet lunches etc can also be provided.
Tour A
This tour lasts 1.5 hours and covers areas such as the entrance hall, Chapel, Drawing Room, Lothian Family Dining Room, Library and Crypt. Tea/coffee included.

Tour B
The duration of this tour is 30 to 40 minutes and covers the entrance area, Chapel, Crypt and Library. Tea/coffee included
