Learning Support
Taking the first steps into education can be daunting but at Newbattle we are aware of that and try to provide the right sort of support. You will benefit from high quality teaching in small class groups from tutors who are committed to help you build up your confidence and who will encourage you to enjoy the learning experience.
Through small group work, tutorials and individual sessions, you will develop learning skills and there will be plenty of opportunity for you to discuss your progress with tutors.
We have a well stocked library and excellent IT facilities. There is also access to a counsellor for those who require it.
At Newbattle, your welfare and happiness are as important to us as your academic success.
Additional support
The College welcomes applications from people with a disability, health issue or specific learning difficulty such as dyselxia and aims to ensure that each student can participate fully in college life and achieve their potential. You are welcome to contact us before applying to discuss any additional support you may need and what support the college has to offer. For the same reason, we encourage you to provide full details on your application form to the college.
