Funding
There are two main sources of funding for students on the Newbattle Abbey College Arts and Humanities Award. These are:
- A Further Education Bursary for eligible students who satisfy the residential requirements set out in the Further Education Bursaries (Scotland) Direction 2005; or
- An Adult Education Grant for eligible students who do not reside in Scotland.
Financial support will not normally be available for those who already possess and advanced level qualification such as a degree or a diploma. However, in certain circumstances a person may be eligible, such as if their current qualifications are obsolete or unrelated to the course they wish to pursue.
The bursary or grant will cover your board and accommodation at Newbattle as a personal allowance.¬†It will be means tested and reflect each individual’s personal circumstances.
